Saturday Wine Tasting! Join us at our tasting bar to try through a lineup of Halls Estate Vineyards. 2-5pm, Saturday November 8th.
HALL’s estate vineyards stretch from ancient riverbeds on the valley floor to sun-drenched hilltops, encompassing more than 500 acres of classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc.
In our pursuit to craft the finest Bordeaux varietals possible, each HALL estate vineyard was strategically chosen for its elevation, microclimates and soil types. Director of vineyards, Don Munk, and his viticulture team, employ small-vine farming to produce low-yield, highly concentrated fruit. Each vineyard block is managed uniquely – farming practices are adjusted according to varietal, terroir, clone, rootstock, and row orientation. We farm for the highest quality fruit and employ organic practices to ensure vineyard health and optimum fruit character.

Sommelier Arnie Millan will conduct a fun and fascinating class on the story of Ancient Wine, just in time for the holidays.
Our story begins during the Neolithic era. We will explore the role of wine in ancient societies, such as classical Greece and Rome, and wine's role in religion, ending with the dawn of the Christian monastic orders. In a sense, the history of wines is nothing less than the history of civilization.
We will taste 8 wines whose grapes have ancient pedigrees.
Gift Certificates are available.
Free parking is available in Wine World's lot.
Advance registration is necessary.
**Sorry, but No discounts to Explorers Club or Living Social Vouchers may be applied to these classes.

Class begins at 3:00 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. at Wine World & Spirits, 400 N.E. 45th Street, Seattle, WA 98105, just off I-5 and the 45th Street exit. Parking is available in our lot.

At the strike of midnight on the third Thursday of every November, France erupts in massive celebration in honor of the unveiling (or should we say uncorking) of the Beaujolais Nouveau wine. Beaujolais Nouveau, which is a young wine (only 6 weeks old) comes from a region south of Burgundy in France. It’s rumored that the light-bodied and fruity wine must be finished by Christmastime and the French government has put regulations delaying the wine’s release until the third week in November. This means the arrival of the new Beaujolais is warmly welcomed in France. All over the country, grand traditions have developed in honor of the release of the Beaujolais, with the biggest festival taking place in Beaujeu, the capital of the Beaujolais region.
This little city springs to life during this weekend in November, hosting a massive party called Sarmentelles. The party gets its name from the french word for cuttings from the canes of grapevines called sarments, which are burned in the center of town just prior to the grand midnight unveiling. Then the huge barrels are opened to much fanfare and party-goers indulge in the new wine for the festival’s 3 day duration. Other areas in France also boisterously celebrate the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau. Lyon hosts the Beaujolympiades (Beaujolympics), marking the release of the wine with music and fireworks followed by 2 days of sampling.
In Paris, restaurants and bistros host their Beaujolais Nouveau parties, staying open through the night and uncorking hundreds of bottles after midnight. Wherever you may be traveling in France, this is a great night to celebrate life, wine, and a grand French tradition

Situated in the picturesque Amador County of Northern California, Renwood is surrounded by the rolling hills and rushing streams of California’s gold country. Renwood was established in 1993 and is today one of the most respected wine producers in the Sierra Foothills, specializing in Zinfandel made from old, dry-farmed vines. Renwood wines have enjoyed consistently high ratings by some of the most respected critics in the world reflect the skills of their winemakers and devotion to the craft of winemaking.
We believe that wine should not be saved only for special occasions, but enjoyed often and in the company of friends. We believe in living life to the fullest and with bold vitality. And we believe in wines crafted the same way.
In 1998 we recognized an opportunity to unlock the extraordinary potential of Malbec. Our team of winemakers set out with the goal of revealing its vibrant, velvety character and the intense flavors of Malbec grown at the foothills of the Andes.
Following on from our original Malbec vision, we now also produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and more. We are very proud of our country’s winemaking heritage and the unique terroir of Mendoza, and we are dedicated to crafting wines that emphasize the hallmarks of the Argento style – fruit purity, vibrancy and elegance.
Whether you are drinking Argento in Buenos Aires, New York, London or Tokyo, you’ll taste all that we love about Argentina.
