Passover is a the Jewish holiday celebrating the Hebrews’ release from slavery in ancient Egypt. Today, Passover is commemorated by the retelling of the story of the exodus from Egypt.

During the storytelling (and according to the story), 4 cups of wine are poured for each person symbolizing the four promises of Redemption made by G-d to  the Jewish people. A fifth cup of wine is poured and saved for the Prophet Elijah symbolizing a fifth promise. Kosher wine is traditionally used for the cups of wine during Passover. Kosher wine is grape wine that is created according to Judaism’s religious and dietary laws.

Check out these wines and quite a few others in Wine World’s Kosher section!
