WINE WORLD & Spirits has a Growler Bar setup on our back tasting bar. With five beers on tap, we will be focusing on local beers from Washington breweries and an occasional surprise from other breweries.
Currently on Tap:
Green Flash 30th St. Pale Ale $12 30th Street Pale Ale is a strong pale ale that is well dry-hopped making it taste like an IPA by many hop head’s standards. The beer was brewed to recognize the synergy behind the craft beer culture on 30th Street in San Diego and was released for the Green Flash 6th Anniversary Celebration.
Mac & Jack’s Black Cat Porter $12 “Hints of chocolate and coffee accent this rich and creamy brew. Blackcat’s smooth approachable flavor demonstrates that dark beers can be enjoyed by all. Our traditional Porter features five select specialty malts, English Ale yeast and fresh Northwest hops. Blackcat is clean and crisp, yet complex and flavorful. A superbly balanced beer that is drinkable any time of the year.”
Anchor Brewing X-Mas Ale $12 Every year since 1975 the brewers of Anchor Steam® Beer have brewed a distinctive and unique Christmas Ale, which is available from early November to mid-January. The Ale’s recipe is different every year—as is the tree on the label—but the intent with which we offer it remains the same: joy and celebration of the newness of life. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons, appears born anew. Our tree for 2013 is the California White Fir. It was hand drawn by local artist James Stitt, who has been creating Christmas Ale labels for us since 1975. http://www.youtube.com/embed/I
Pelican Pub & Brewery MacPelican Scottish Style Ale $12 MacPelican’s Scottish Style Ale from Pelican Pub & Brewery is an Irish-Style Red Ale. Pelican Pub & Brewery has given MacPelican’s Scottish Style Ale the following description: “Our interpretation of the Scottish Export style is coppery amber in color and features a mild, malty aroma. The malty flavor is balanced with Willamette hops to add a little “snap” to the flavor and finish of this rich, smooth ale.”
Rainier Beer $5 Rainier beer brings together nature’s bounty from the great Northwest. Pure spring waters combine with golden barley and verdant hops to produce a beer rich in taste and texture. Fermented slowly with a pedigree yeast culture under tightly controlled conditions, Rainier comes forth with a satisfying malty flavor over a slightly fruity background, spiced with Chinook, Mt. Hood, and Willamette hop notes.
